The Grant of Probate is a court order, authorizing an Executor/Trustee named in a Will to administer the deceased’s estate in accordance to the directions of the Will.

This Grant of Probate is to be presented to the relevant authorities like banks, financial institutions, who will have the right to release monies from the deceased’s Estate to the Executor/Trustee. It is then for the Executor/Trustee to collect or liquidate the assets, pay any debts of the deceased person and distribute the assets according to the Will.

• Original copy of the Will;
• Original Death Certificate of the deceased;
• “Schedule of Assets” providing details of assets owned by the deceased.
